Eid al Adh’ha celebrations

Dhiggaru council in association with WDC and associations have held various activities to celebrate Eid Al Adh’ha 1443. Activities started with Eid prayer on the morning of Eid.

Eid prayers were held at two mosques of the island. After the prayer, Eid gifts and presents were distributed to kids and Eid morning tea was arranged at Ali Kilegefaanu Maalam of Dhiggaru school by WDC and associations. On the Evening of Eid, “Adh’ha Maja Kulhivaru Haveeru”, a family evening with various fun and sports activities were held by Dhiggaru Zuvaanunge Jamuyya. Activity for the evening was traditional music show of Mulaku Group organized by Dhiggaru Ekuveri Zuvaanunge Gulhun. Competition for designing and lighting up Eid Mubaarik on the Eve of Eid day was held in the name of “Eid Mubaarik Challenge” Varrongu Challanege competition open for three divisions was held on the evening and morning of subsequent days were held at the newly reclaimed land area from 11th July onwards On the Evenings of 11th July, Boduberu and Music show by ladies for DEZG, 12th July, Langeri show by DZJ and on 13th July, Langeri Show by DEZG, was held as evening entertainments.
